PROOF is the shared identity of James Green (UK) and Monsieur Jamin (FR) — two painters who don't share a spoken language, but don't need one.

Their collaborative works emerge from sustained studio sessions across the UK and France, where ideas are tested through action rather than discussion. Paint is the language. Instinct is the method. The surface is the negotiation.

Both artists work independently within expressive, gestural painting — Green on unstretched canvas, Jamin in his own distinct territory — but under PROOF, those individual voices give way to something neither makes alone. Authorship dissolves. Process takes over.

The works in this exhibition are the evidence. Proof that painting can operate as dialogue, encounter, and shared understanding — without a word spoken between them.
