El Niño
Plywood Relief Sculpture : Teak, Wenge, Olivewood, Sand dune
Inspired by the powerful and unpredictable forces of El Niño, this piece explores the tension between nature’s rhythms and the structures through which we understand them. Layered wood veneers converge around a sculptural white relief, where flowing, wave-like forms evoke the movement of water, shifting currents and the turbulence of a changing climate. Organic movement meets geometric order, creating a balance between control and unpredictability. Through the interplay of material, depth and direction, the work reflects nature’s capacity to disrupt, transform and continually reshape the world around us.
